    Design Lab logoThe Design Lab was born out of a need to support the development of impactful professional learning using the principles of design thinking and honoring adult learning theory. Since its launch, the Design Lab has added services in survey, conference, and, most recently, data dashboard design.

    The Design Lab offers collaborative sessions grounded in design thinking and tailored to meet the evolving needs of districts. Design Lab Services available to districts include:

    − Professional learning design to develop professional learning that leads to higher learning transfer;
    − Survey development of new surveys and refinement of existing satisfaction, needs assessment, and learning transfer surveys;
    − Conference design, planning, execution, and reflection phases

    The Online Design Team supports internal departments and TEA through the design of online courses, including Texas Reading Academies and TEA Learn courses.
