Communicate relevant information to your students.
Communicating with students when teaching online is very important. It is important to make sure that you are using a communication method or methods that can and will reach all of your students. Schedule live sessions for my students to interact with me.
Many things can be done through online learning tools, but it is also good practice to hold live sessions that can be recorded. By doing this, students can have the opportunity to interact with you live if they are able or they can watch the recording back at a later time. Meeting with students live gives them the opportunity to see you and ask questions in the moment with out waiting for a delayed answer. Check out the tools below and get started hosting live sessions quickly and easily.

Hold online office hours.
Holding online office hours is a great way to be available to speak with students, answer questions and interact with them while still being remote. Make sure to communicate what time you will be offering your online office hours to your students ahead of time. Setting up a consistent time each day is a great way to encourage consistency. Publish the link to your Zoom meeting or Google Meet in your LMS of choice. You can also send the link out via Remind, email, Facebook groups or any other online communication tool that you use with your students.
